Our coaches suck

Multiple things can be true as shocking as that is!

1. Johnson was mediocre post 09
2. Johnson left a ööööty roster
3. Johnson quit because he knew we were going to suck.
4. Our fan base is dwindling
5. Fans generally enjoy passing offenses
6. Collins has recruited better
7. Collins recruits are very young
8. Collins has marketed the program well
9. Collins has hired poorly
10. Collins is a bad in-game coach
1. 2014 just didn’t exist and making bowl games every year is so much worse than 3 win seasons
2. Collins is making the guys that Collins left worse, such as Juanyeh
3. He was forced out
4. Hm, I wonder why, probably isn’t the 3 win seasons
5. Yeah, usually offenses that can actually score
6. And then doesn’t improve them
7. They’re juniors now…
8. Money down baby
9. Yeah… and doesn’t do anything about it
10. So then why do we have him

You asked what TO team has had a good defense, and I answered that the AFA has the 6th best in the nation. I mean you can continue to play stupid games and win stupid prizes per usual
They do not have the sixth best defense in the nation. They just have the sixth best defense relative to the competition they play, which is very weak. Move them to any P5 conference, and they wouldn’t even have the sixth best defense in their conference.

I agree with #'s 4,5.9, &10. Other than that a shallow attempt to defend CGC.

Dont bother. He’s either a dwag fan, an idiot, or most likely both.

Well it’s not good that compared to our competition we suck. Move us to the AFA spot and we’ll still be mediocre at best. Can’t even beat Northern Illinois

Why do you think Johnson was mediocre post 2009? We had 3 seasons of 8-4 or better and 1 worse than 500.

we played UGA and Clemson every year. We finished first or second in the Coastal almost every year.

a losing record against the FBS is at best mediocre by definition. We finished exactly one of those seasons ranked.

Someone is going to hire Chadwell before we're ready to hire our next coach

Got this story from a pretty good friend:
Ga. Southern interviewed Chadwell but didn't hire him. Thought he was too arrogant.
The person who told him that -and is friends with PJ - said "they thought Chadwell was too arrogant? And

1. Maybe. But at least he got us to an Orange Bowl. And won it. And beat Georgia two times in Athens after 09.
And he was 3-0 against Fuente. Collins is 0-2.
2. Uh ... let's see ... Mason, Dontae Smith, Adonicas, Malachi, Jordan Domineck, Juanyeh, Tariq, Tobias, Quez Jackson, Charlie Thomas, an entire starting O line ... PJ left Collins as many (or maybe one fewer) 4 star guys on the roster as he inherited. Per rivals rankings, that was Dingle, Jordan Yates, James Graham, both Swillings, Bonds, Kaleb Oliver, Jaylon King, right off the top of my head. That's eight. Their departures or lack of living up to 4 star billing shouldn't be a reflection on PJ. It's either on Collins (some) or that recruiting rankings are ... a lot of things besides accurate.
3. No. Dude was pretty burned out. M Bob's reign of error took five years off his coaching life. PJ was pleading for more support in recruiting efforts. He didn't get it. When T Stan took over, our players lounge, in T Stan's words, was "a (bleeping) joke." We had stuffing coming out of the cushions because M Bob wasn't spending the $ to fix that kind of stuff.
Never underestimate just how bad The Abominable Snowman was.
4. Agree
5. Kind of subjective. I like to see an offense that wins. Run it, throw it, whatever, just lead to wins.
6. By recruiting rankings, yes. But so have FSU and Miami. And they've been dog meat.
7. Given that he's only in his third year, that kind of stands to reason, no?
8. Yeah.
9. No argument on that one.
10. See No. 9.

I see the normal suspects have shown up to shot on the team.

We had every opportunity to win that game. Gotta clean it up. Did t like the Mason call on 4th down. He didn't seem to be having a good game. Was Gibbs hurt?

You are including bowl games and an ACC Championship we were in because they needed an opponent. That’s dumb.

And here comes the cheerleader to tell us everything is OK. Where is the next win this season?

We had every opportunity to beat the Citadel and NIU also

Were those not games? Did they not count?
I think bowl games apart from NY6 games and national hype matchups are pretty meaningless. And even those ones are subject to players not really caring. I think most fans of college football would agree.

I don’t think they’re useful in measuring a coach’s overall record.

as for the ACCCG we lucked into…ehhh I would’ve counted the crap out of it if we won.

you keep trotting out “four stars” that clearly weren’t. Most rated only by one service. Here’s where Johnson had us talent-wise: Wyoming, Vanderbilt, Southern Miss, SMU,
Oregon State, Toledo, Wake Forest, Duke, Utah State, RICE!!!, and basically all of P5 have more players in the NFL than us.

If we play our cards right, Dan Mullen might be available and would be an upgrade.
Basically the Spurrier effect. A guy that hates UGA and wants to coach for a team that plays against them every year. Would be nice to get him and make up for that mistake of not taking him.

Boomer boosters didn't like the option and sarcasm in pressers so now we just lose every game and are never competitive. It's like ruining the housing market, health care, national debt, military, and national security wasn't enough so they ööööed GT football on the way out too. Thanks a lot.

But hey no mean tweets!
