Realistically, what should we be looking for against Clemson?

It is going to be hard to beat good teams without being able to kick field goals and missing half your extra points.

Kicking game looked better this week, as bad as it still was. I’m hopeful that in a couple weeks the extra points won’t be nerve wrecking anymore. Field goals on the other hand...
 
Don’t be surprised if we win. CGC is a big time recruiter and has already assembled some talent that can win. Patenaude has some tricks up his sleeve. Clempson 28 Tech 38.

If we are within 30 points I will be shocked. Their defense will confuse the heck out of Sims which will cause turnovers. There will be very little running room for a stable of good RBs. Our defense will be completely overmatched by Clemson's offense. Golden Boy will have all day to throw and Eteinne will not get touched until at least 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. We are not ready talent wise to compete with Clemson.

Why would they throw the ball at all if we aren't able to touch Etienne until at least 5 yards beyond the LOS?
 
If we win it will be some freakish 34-33 type game with both teams missing 2 point conversions in the final minutes type drama

There were a lot of games this week where the combined score was in excess of 70 or 80 points. It is as if even the defensive specialists have given up on playing defense. I think this is a good sign for us. I don't know if we can hang 40+ on Clempsen, but we can move the ball at least as well as Miami.
