Realistically, what should we be looking for against Clemson?

We lead the game from start to finish. The Tech sideline is one big party. Our starters get taken out at the end of the 3rd quarter and our second and third string finish out the game. The last play is a kneel down at the 1 on first and goal by our backup QB.
I'll have what she's having.

If we are within 30 points I will be shocked. Their defense will confuse the heck out of Sims which will cause turnovers. There will be very little running room for a stable of good RBs. Our defense will be completely overmatched by Clemson's offense. Golden Boy will have all day to throw and Eteinne will not get touched until at least 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. We are not ready talent wise to compete with Clemson.
At least ur mom likes my root.

Nice first post douche bag.
I guess you like fantasy land. We are improved from last year in a lot of areas but are no match for Clemson. Have you watched how they confuse QBs and shut down opponents running game? Apparently not! Not to mention a few fairly talented players on offense. I 2-3 years on our current trajectory we will be competitive. We aren't now.

I like lots of things. In fact, a lot of us here like a lot of the same things.

But none of us like douchebags.

Now, be nice. He waied more than SIX YEARS to post that.
Been reading this board since it started. Obviously many can't handle reality. Sims, Gibbs and Brown are better offensive players than we have had in a long time. They and both of our lines just aren't ready to deal with Clemson's level of talent. CGC keeps bringing in that level talent we will be good in a few years.

Doubled down

And, tripled down.

Needs to be juice-boarded

Meh. Clemson gonna get that ass kicked. Sims is gonna go ööööing off. Gibbs is already better than Etienne. Tech rolls.

I'd say it's progress if we lose by fewer points than last year (38).

Despite some improved talent, this team is not yet as good as a Paul Johnson team, so I don't expect better results.
2016: Lost by 19
2017: Lost by 14
2018: Lost by 28
Average: 20.1 points

I think it'd be a great sign if we lose by fewer than 20, which would put us on par with the last several Paul Johnson years.

Paul Johnson had no prayer to win in 2018. We had a clock running offense that delayed the inevitable. I suppose we could come out, run dive plays, and run 40+ seconds off the clock each play - if that'll make you STFU already.

In all honesty, we're going to have to show a deep threat to even keep it close. They are going to be sitting all over the short routes and forcing runs back into the middle.
This. And I also worry we will wait too long to show the deep threat. If we can keep the game close through two, I’m hoping the tech offense can start breaking open more explosive plays. I fear it will be tough sledding early in the run game.

Are you from the future?

He drank the juice.
