I love all 3.

The players should be able to choose which jerseys they wear...when they win.

My ballot must have ben lost in the mail as I am SURE the GTAA wants my vote on this important issue. To whom should I send by vote to?

:laugher::laugher::laugher:

This is a sad day. Tech's always had great uniforms - until this season. I say kill the piping. I can't believe the alums let this happen.

Change the colors to reflect old gold - fine. I just can't bear to watch us run around in horrible stripes/pipes.

Our upcoming national championship pictures would look so much better in our traditional unis...

I have received 4 calls today from older alums who are very disappointed in the blue. I for one like the OLD GOLD and WHITE but apparently the decision has been made by the team to go with blue. I have emailed Drad to voice my displeasure but don't think anything can be done.

I know COLORS are a hot issue with alot but it doesn't look as if we have any say so.

I don't think the GTAA should take fashion advice from engineers. :)

I prefer the old school colors also but if it's a team decision and if it fires 'em up, they can where pink for all I care.

We don't really have any traditional uniforms though. They closest thing we have is the gold pants with white tops but they ncaa has changed the rules on this and we can't wear it for all our home games.

The mismatched gold top/helmet is certainly not traditional.

This is the part of collegiate athletics that I just can't stand. Grown men arguing over what colors the football team is wearing under the guise of defending "tradition" when really they just want to feel important. Get a life.

(not aimed at anybody here, just a small rant)

I don't want to purchase a Jersey that looks like something Rollerball. I like traditional looking uniforms, which is why I love the throwbacks.

Also, I think grown men intently watching the movements, actions and decisions of 17 year old high schools is slightly more disturbing then them arguing over uniform colors.

THIS is the part you can't stand?!?

You are okay with the ranting and personal criticism of college kids and the total investment of personal happiness some people have in the team? You are okay with calling for the head of any coach at the first sign of adversity? You are okay with dividing into camps based on which coach (or AD) you think should be hired and pouting for months if your side doesn't prevail?

The long standing discussion of uniform colors is silly at worst and trivial at best. Grown men argue over much worse things and behave much more poorly on the general subject of athletics. There's bigger fish to fry than this particular "debate."

P.S.
My wife would argue that you and I and everyone posting on this or any other sports message board needs to "get a life." Of course, she does a few things I consider a waste of time, but I am smart enough to keep those to myself - most of the time.

Actually grown men purchasing jersey is pretty weird if you ask me. Coach's shirts if you're over 30 man.

I contend that 'gay' lies somewhere between 'silly' and 'trivial.'

Besides, the only official Tech jersey I've got is a hockey sweater, and it's BLACK. :P

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but I think anyone who supports the school should have a "say so."

The paying fans and contributors who have to look at the uniforms or buy them as souvenirs should have a vote as well as current students and players. We are all stakeholders. All "votes" don't have to weighted equally. (Maybe current and former players should get extra influence.)

P.S.
This is purely a philosophical argument as I like the new choices. I just hope we stick with the gold-white-gold look most of the time.

If Russell comes up with a Replica or Authentic version of these, and they are available at a reasonable price, then I intend to purchase a example of all three. I think that all of them look great.

helluvaparamedic - that pic in your sig is a great example. Look how good our unis look next to Miami's! Our new jerseys looks like someone pulled a sports bra over them...

Why are we so opposed to joining the 21st century? And why the hell do so many people hate blue? Don't you guys remember what happened the season we busted them out? ACCCG '06 was one game so don't bring that up.

Too late!
