Spring transfer portal watch

QB Tyler Buckner quit ND after their spring game, and picked up and moved to Bama whose QBs did not impress in their spring game.

This is the seventh circle of hell and untenable. Dogs and cats, living together.

If anyone ever wondered what the NFL would look like without multiyear contracts and with unfettered free agency for players to move each spring wherever the want . . . take a look around.

Don't players get only one free portal pass now? I think they have to sit out a year if they transfer for a second time.

Buchner's old OC/QB coach is on staff at Bama - Tommy Rees. Rees did not want to go to LSU with Brian Kelly and was OC under Freeman for that first year but left.

I am all for that. Milk it for as much as you can get, not as attractive to have 2 degrees at different levels from the same school.

The players get treated well but if they last 5 years with someone wanting them they work hard, too.
 
Looks like Sims is the de facto starter for Nebraska as his main competition is leaving.
 
Looks like Sims will get a rematch against NIU, if he lasts until game 3. Started awful for us in that game (4/9 for 23 yds) and left with an injury.
 
So at DT we have
Douse, Biggers, Scott, Jason Moore (walk on that played), & Horace Lockett. Hope the group can stay healthy

Etinosa Reuben (transfer from Clemson) 6-3 295
Jaaymen Rochelle (r-F walk-on) 6-4 290
Bryston Dixon (incoming Freshmen) 6-3 330
Shymeik Jones (incoming Freshmen) 6-5 265 (he could end up a SDE)

Anyway, we have the 5 you mentioned plus the 4 above all for 2 spots basically. I think we'll be fine at DT but they could always look for one in the portal if we need more depth.
