Tashard Choice Gone

We were 97th in yards per pass attempt in 2018. Better than the 128th this year but not “pretty good”

Lookong back at the data we had more people graduate at the end of the 17 season than I remembered. 18 had a very young secondary, which explains in part why 18 was rough year defensively. Having said that, CGC hasn't made them any better.

I'm still hoping for the best. I can't say I expect it to happen. Collins has been able to recruit higher rated talent than many of us thought possible at GT. That's a significant skill and one I'm not sure we can easily replace. I wish he were smart enough and humble enough to realize the help he needs and get them on staff.
Currently, who is most talented player in program that Collins has recruited?

Make option football illegal at all levels. That’s seriously the only way because as long as going back to option is an, ahem, option, we will have this problem. I’m convinced we could win a title and there would be a contingent of Tech fans bitching that it wasn’t done running the TO.

Sounds like Nebraska fans that got lost in the team fandom signups

We GSU'd ourselves.

This Paul Johnson fan would be fine with pretty much any coach of integrity whose team does as well as or better than his did.

I don't think the triple option was ever a problem. It was Johnson not being a great recruiter/marketer and not hiring good defensive coordinators (until the end).

You’re an idiot then. The reason people think we would be wise to run the option are fairly simple;

1) it was successful
2) it was cheap
3) it gave us a unique identity as a program that provided national attention and prime time games for the ACC.

And no recruit with any thought of going pro wanted any part of it.

I was answering the question that was asked. Not saying that 3O should be banned.

lack of football knowledge and CPJ knowledge in this thread is hurting stingtalk

I was at every home game in Aloha Stadium in 1992 - the BYU @Hawai'i game that year was one of the best games I've ever seen in person. An incredible offense. Pretty sure Hawai'i curb-stomped Illinois in a bowl game at the end of that season.

And those peeps on the message boards have an equal or more number of fans who run down CPJs tenure at every chance.

I don’t care what system GT runs. Just would like to see a well coached team.
