If he didn't want him fired, he should've played better. Maybe I'm reading an attitude that isn't there, but did he really think we weren't going to make staff changes?
Information from another source that does give me hope that the powers that be (those with $$) do have somewhat clear heads about all of this:
Collins is seen as a good/excellent recruiter. But a poor program coach. So, they want him to recruit and surround himself with people that do know how to coach. The culture is currently seen as a positive but ... as more experience personnel are hired, it's clear that accountability has to happen. Geoff has NOT been good at holding people accountable.
What I hear is ... six wins next year or else.
Until it’s 5 wins, then 2 of the next 3, finally keep it close against a good team. It’s how Stansbury rolls. What I hear is ... six wins next year or else.
Yep. Giving up and letting a TE streak past you to a TD has consequences. Who knew?If he didn't want him fired, he should've played better. Maybe I'm reading an attitude that isn't there, but did he really think we weren't going to make staff changes?
6 wins was their line in the sand this year.Information from another source that does give me hope that the powers that be (those with $$) do have somewhat clear heads about all of this:

I don’t think he could do much worseI'm just wondering what makes us think Collins is going to hire a better staff this time?
The $$ boosters have no faith in stansbury and they're renegotiating contracts so they can clean out Todd and geoff next year if no big improvement is seen. These moves are all band aids.Until it’s 5 wins, then 2 of the next 3, finally keep it close against a good team. It’s how Stansbury rolls.

Where did you see that for Collins?6 wins was their line in the sand this year.
Word is we have candidates. If it ends up being Key it means everybody else better turned us down.Any word on OC? If it’s Key, TDope can go ahead and clean out his desk.
It was in the AJC. Perhaps, it was before NIU or after Clemson. It was early in the season for sure.Where did you see that for Collins?
I dont think we had a line, but 3-9 is unacceptable and necessitated changes. Apparently the sacrifices are acceptable to save the big guy.
There are some people in the $$ donor orbit who are personal friends with Key. I sure hope that's not the direction we go.Any word on OC? If it’s Key, TDope can go ahead and clean out his desk.
I’d be in favor of every week having someone from Make a Wish calling plays if that’s the case.Word is we have candidates. If it ends up being Key it means everybody else better turned us down.
we made that TE look like he had Chuck Yeager speedYep. Giving up and letting a TE streak past you to a TD has consequences. Who knew?
Found the article. Actually, it wasn’t anonymous. Some of the big donors put their necks out there. It was in the AJC. Perhaps, it was before NIU or after Clemson. It was early in the season for sure.
AJC quoted anonymous boosters saying straight up - 6 wins or ded.
