Unofficial Signing Day thread

They are doing things in an equally egregious manner as Ole Miss did under Freeze.
In a hypothetical world, let’s say that they are taking their cheating game to uncharted territory. Which scenario of dwagtard tears would taste better? Losing the championship game or winning and having to vacate it?

According to Rivals, these are Paul Johnson's rankings for recruiting.

Average of 52nd in the country.

Nobody gives a öööö about vacating. Anyone who knows one of these bag men should find a way to get tracked presents into uga hands and then alert the ncaa compliance office like they did to us in '09. Take them down.

I thought it had already been covered on the board that we accept 3-5 win seasons every few years just so we can have a 2014 every once in a while.

Meanwhile, teams like Maryland killed recruiting.

Who's this "we"? And from 2008-2015, no one was happy with 3-5 win seasons.

All the sudden, we're suppose to be fine with this shit?

This is a weird post coming from an old crusty fart of a fan that can't let go of 50s and 60s GT and Bobby ööööing Dodd.

Oh man!

You are a true victim of the GT vaunted lack of reading comprehension education.

I blame Dodd (and Harrison) for a majority of the problems we suffer to this day.

He did some, according to them, very good things for the kids that played for him.

But his idiotic move getting us out of the SEC damn near killed us. What kind of numbnuts thinks southern football fans would come watch us play uva as compared to playing bama for example?

As an AD he helped foster an elitist attitude to the employees of the GTAA making them think they were doing people (people giving them money) a favor by talking to the lowly public.

As an AD he let finances and facilities go to Hades while spending a lot of his time at Bitsy Grant.

“Can’t let go of Bobby ööööing Dodd”?

I never have, and never will, say “Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field”. It is Grant Field.

Bet you are fantastic with math, but almost zero common sense or reading comprehension.

And in 10 years you will be thinking a, yes, year end very good GT team was the be all end all. Despite losing to scumbag puke & unc.

Merry Christmas dipwad

Y'all, settle down. Be happy. It's Christmas season. Be calm and spread happiness.

Hmmmmm. Paints a bleak picture.

Is there a more positive way to spin these statistics?

I find it interesting that UGA has the #1 ranked class almost every year yet we play them pretty competitive for the most part.
UGA hasn't had the number 1 ranked class going to 99. "Almost every year" is "almost" complete bullshit.

But I think the point made is they consistently have a top 10 recruiting class while we have a consistently 40-50 ranked class.

Asked to address the future of defensive coordinator Ted Roof, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson gave statements that were less than enthusiastic endorsements.

Speaking Wednesday at a news conference to address the Yellow Jackets’ signings on the first day of the early signing period, Johnson was asked if he anticipated Roof returning next season for his sixth season in his second stint in charge of the Tech defense.

“Do I anticipate it?” Johnson asked. “I have no idea. You’d have to ask Coach Roof that.”

Uhhhhh...interesting.

He has to be gone, after that quote.....right?

I thought the staff recruited a good class of athletes. The young man from Germany would be a project at best and may find success but who knows.
Right now the staff needs to look for another QB and maybe a kicker. I admire GT for what they do as a pure engineering school. I am not sure you
can show me another pure engineering school that even fields a football team.

Four hypotheses on the quote:
1. Johnson offered to keep him on staff but demote him from DC. Roof hasn't decided.
2. Roof has or is interviewing for a job elsewhere.
3. Johnson was just telling a reporter to screw off. He was mad reporters went around him to get info from assistants earlier in the year.
4. Johnson has already decided to fire Roof and just responded poorly to the reporter's question when put on the spot.
