Urban ded - who can we poach from his staff?

? What did he do that warrants a 3 game suspension, let alone a firing? This is ALL social media driver PC hysteria. Pussification lf society. I deleted all my (basically inactive) social media accounts a few weeks ago and I have missed the fake news zero percent.
As an Ohio State employee he is required by title 9 to report any assault allegations and he didn't. Instead he continued to hire and rehire a guy he knew that beat his wife.

Doesn't seem Urban is dead. Sorry Dis, & Rainbow he wont be comming to GT - Thank GOD!

This should have been a binary decision:

0) He did nothing wrong, no punishment

1) He ööööed up and should be fired.

Anything else is either bowing to the mob or done so tOSU can keep winning games.

Title 9 requires all college employees to report to law enforcement any allegations of domestic abuse that they hear? I did not know that. That seems like a pretty broad over-interpretation of Title 9.

But not every mistake justifies terminating an employee...?

This isn't a case of violating a policy against smoking on campus or parking in a handicap space. A woman was in an abusive relationship and a Urban is a manditory reporter. People that are not head coaches of football factories get fired for this type of violation. No organization, much less a government one, wants to be seen as enabling an abuser.

He either knew and did nothing or he did not know. Investigate and determine what happened and react appropriately. Anything else is evil.

why don't you go find a board dedicated to your beautiful drainage ditch football team?
one of the best side benefits of getting rid of PJ would be losing all the GS clingons

Here is why Dis can decent from GT's potential.

Urban is evil and should be fired for not investigating an allegation of domestic abuse that had already been reported to the police and investigated by them, who decided not to prosecute? Zach Smith's wife called the police and reported her husband for domestic abuse. They arrested him, then decided not to charge him. How is any of this Urban's fault?

This seems to me to be part and parcel of the Twitter-verse, social-media, 24-hour-news-cycle witch-hunt culture we live in now. Let the police investigate crimes, not football coaches.

Urban is stupid for not reporting the abuse to the university. He is not responsible for investigating.

Urban's bosses at tOSU are evil for either apeasing the mob or keeping him on to win football games.

Again, if Urban knew and did not report he should be fired, just like any manditory reporter would be. If he did not know, then he should be able report to work tomorrow. The university's investigation should have cleared him or condemned him.

I think that we are not that far apart on this.

Well I’m happy to hear that, but I do think it’s weird you think he should be fired for not reporting an allegation that he knew had already been reported.
