That 43 points given up was basically over 3 quarters because the offense managed to dominate the first quarter.

What a joke.
Tech didn’t stop Duke from scoring until almost half way through the 4th quarter. Say that over and over and over again. Who cares what the offense is doing at that point? Almost 200 yards given up in a single quarter of football!? To Duke!?!?
Being Roof’s white knight makes you sound retarded.
The offense had 5 yards in the 3rd quarter. Say that over and over and over again. The offense had 2 first downs in the entire second half. Say that over and over and over again. 3 for 14 passing for the entire game. Say that over and over and over again.

Any ideas on who we can hire to replace CPJ, Mr. Stansbury?Holy crap.
The O this, The D that, The S/T the other.
One guy is responsible - CPJ. Not Roof. They all have some blame to share, but only one guy is here in his 10th year who is totally in charge. One guy.
Firing another DC will not accomplish squat.
And we, as fans, share for not supporting the program with enough $. Got to change.
Anyone here been given more than 10 years on a job, with increases, to obtain these kind of results?

The offense can’t get another shot when they don’t have the ball, you ööööing imbecile.
Excuse away the ending of the first half. O is clicking. We score with 2:00 left. Defense does what again?
The offense always gets a pass because CPJ and rushing stats. Losing 3 out of 4 vs Duke is the best coach we can do, given our restrictions and the rain.
Yet our offense scored more often per possession today than any of the offenses in the games you just listed.... Until the game was completely out of reach, at least
Hey Einstein, the offense got the ball 5 times in the second half. After every Duke possession, they get a shot, that's the way the game works. 5 possessions, 2 first downs, 1 pass completion.

So, according to you, we must set the level of standard for the O to score every time they touch the ball. Otherwise, they’re causing the issues on D. You must see how unrealistically idiotic that is.
By the way, what’s your standard for the D?
We probably would have had to put numbers up there in the zip code of the UNC ‘12 performance on O today with the D performance we threw out there. That’s horrifically embarrassing.
My standard is that the O score 24 points or more for the game while the D holds the opponent to 24 points or less.
If you normalize our points by number of possessions (20 / 9 = 2.22), we scored more against Duke than anyone they've played except Miami (31 / 12 = 2.58).
That's even counting the desperation drives late in the game which really shouldn't count.
We did the second best offensively out of 11 teams Duke has faced, and the offense did bad. OK.....
What is vital to the future of GT football right now, is to find a meaningless opponent for a 12th game (one that will insure we lose money we don’t have) and hopefully getting into a bowl game, preferably on the South Pole. A game where we can sell at least 42 tickets and will guarantee at least a loss of $750,000 for the GTAA. That is what is important, because CPJ can get a bonus for going to a bowl game.
