We got out-coached today

We kept the playcalling extremely vanilla this week. Gonna come out and hold U Ga to season low in scoring and hang half a century on em!!

Because most of the second half we were 3 scores of the game and were desperately trying to catch up. We couldn't run our normal offense, we had to throw low-percentage bombs

This is Moronic. Yea, the defense sucked balls all game. But we scored zero in the second half. We had like five yards in the third quarter. The offense has sucked it’s fair share of dick too this season.

So if we ran our normal offense in the 4th quarter and got another TD instead of throwing long passes to try to win the game, that would've made you feel better about our offense? Dumb.

We scored 3 touchdowns on 6 possessions before the game was completely out of hand. That is extremely good offense.

I'll just repeat since it's apparently not getting through to people. While the game was in reach, we were doing better offensively against Duke than any team they have played all year. That's including even the 2 third quarter 3-and-outs everyone is whining about.

I’ll say it again, too.

The offense melted away an entire quarter of football (the 1Q). The defense’s atrociousness is further magnified when that’s taken into consideration.
 
If you think "The offense was bad in the third quarter today." implies "The offense was bad today."...

By that same logic "The offense was bad on the 14th play of the game today." implies "The offense was bad today."

You have to evaluate the offense as a whole. Every play doesn't work. Every possession doesn't result in points. It's cherrypicking to say "Oh, well, we didn't score on these two particular possessions, so the offense wasn't good today."

Listened to CPJ’s post-game and he acknowledged the three and outs in the 3rd and the impact they had on the game. He did not seem to insist on blaming this 100% on the defense.

2nd half, esp 3Q, both sides terrible. D kept doing what they had been doing all game. O gave us 5 yards.

On no planet can you pin this solely on the D.

The offense sucked for an entire half of football. And part of our "normal offense" IS throwing low-percentage bombs. That is our ONLY passing offense.
 
The offense sucked before the game got out of hand, in fact the O played a significant role in the game getting out of hand today.

Tech didn’t stop Duke from scoring until almost half way through the 4th quarter. Say that over and over and over again. Who cares what the offense is doing at that point? Almost 200 yards given up in a single quarter of football!? To Duke!?!?
