Correct. We are not talented enough, deep enough, nor skilled enough, to take any team lightly. We don't have to go out and play mistake free, but if we fumble and throw INTs, all game long, expect a L.
 
Koon has had several head scratching comments over the last few months. I don't know if he's genuinely that uninformed or just hunting clicks and likes. For someone whose job is to cover GT, he seems out of the loop.
 
This game is 50/50.

This is how I think it will play out. We go out to a fast start and go up 14-0. Then we go cold and WCU goes up 28-14. We go into desperation mode in the last two minutes and score a TD and get an onside kick to close the gap to 28-21.

We have 1st and goal at the 9 yard line with 15 seconds left and no time-outs. Sims throws an INT in the endzone to end the game.

WCU fans rush the field. Collins does not get fired.
 
If Collins is even trailing in the 2nd half, TStan should go down to the field and take his headset, hand it to Weinke, and have Collins start cleaning out his office.

Agree. And I told you all there were folks out there that actively want him and GT to fail and many didn't believe it.

Same thing happened towards the end of Gailey’s tenure. It was as unacceptable then as it is now.

Someone gave TDope the millions Goof is owed?

Collins isn't going anywhere until December when the buyout drops significantly, regardless of the on field results.

Is there any sort of legal way he can just sort of become a figurehead, and let the actual coaches on the team try their hand at it? He wouldn't technically be fired but he also wouldn't be doing any coaching. Kind of like how they treated Milton in Office Space; moving him down to the basement to take care of the cockroach problem?

While that might feel "good" for the fans to humiliate him, doubtful that GT does that. Also, if the season really goes south, he might just want to get the heck out of there and amenable to a reduction in buyout. I hope it does not play out this way.

While I think that Collins is not a good coach and his clock management skills are some of the worst I've seen, I am hoping that the team has a good record this season and GT (which seems to be able to ill afford a buyout, much less what a new staff that can compete would cost) doesn't have to figure out a new AD & Coach.
