Who actually enjoys watching this offensive style?

How do you feel about the triple option offense?

Have you heard about the 2014 Orange Bowl?

You asked if we enjoy watching it. Then you're giving people shit for bringing up games where they enjoyed watching it. Yes when it works it is awesome to watch. Just like any playbook. If we had a pro style offense right now and having the same results, people wouldn't enjoy watching that either.

Apparently CPJ got more support from the Admin in 2014 because I never heard him complain about the fans or lack of money then.
We built a multimillion dollar indoor practice facility among the first of its kind in the ACC.

But Clemson has a barber shop in their locker room. That's why Johnson can't recruit worth a shit.

Yes, but you make a lot of errors and miss assignments. Go back and look at the tape.

If only I had more fans reading my posts, more support from the site's Admins, and didn't have to post on Thursday nights... I think my posting style has been figured out by a few members here.

a sudden we decide to short pass the ball and are effectively able to move the ball down the field. This I would like to see more of rather than just in a have to situation. I

yeah, thats because they are playing prevent defense, thats why the passes are open

you dont have style, you have whiney

Did you literally fail to read that I mistook the win against BYU (a late night west-coast game 13 years ago) as a win against USC and immediately corrected myself? That I made an error?

I'm pretty sure you did. And CCG did manage to defeat BYU, something CPJ hasn't. I'm pretty sure you skipped over that part too.
Either way, you're arguing that we beat BYU in 2002, a year they won 5 games with their best win being against either Hawaii or Syracuse. Don't forget we lost to them in 2004, the year they only won 4 games.

So we lose to them in 2012, a year they win 8 games, lose 5 (3 to top 25 teams, 2 of those games by a COMBINED 4 points). The other 2 losses a combined 9 points.

We also lose to them in 2013, another 8 win season, no regular season loss less than 10 points. (lost by 15 in bowl game)

This is really your argument?

My biggest complaint is not merely the style of the O but the inability we have to adjust and adapt it to keep it fresh and keep defenses off balance. There are other teams who run the 3O but most have gone to the shotgun to be able to pass more effectively or attack the perimeter more effectively when teams gang up in the box. Everyone is talking about the pass-run option (RPO) plays but we don't seem to even have one at all.

I think this is laziness on the part of our coaching staff because they don't want to have to reinvent the offense continuously. But it needs it.

No, BYU was a total error. I've already admitted that. Someone else refused to read that and instead lamely attempted to put words into my mouth that hadn't been said.

Fact is, CCG's scheme did beat some good P5 teams, same was CPJ's scheme has beaten some good P5 teams.

Our scheme is not the Savior many fans seem to think it is. Hell, any scheme works with the right personnel.

You must have forgotten the Vad Lee year.

We really tried this. We tried hard in 2013. It didn't work. We went back to what we knew in 2014 and it worked great.

+1

I think our players are plenty smart enough to be able to run plays from different sets. It's our coach who is a little short on the smart side.

For folks that don't like it could you point at a current offense you do like out there right now?

I voted that I enjoy this offense (like everybody else with the qualifier that it is working), but also miss the Fridge's offense from my undergrad days. That was probably still my favorite college offense of all time.

I really like the offense Houston runs. I have never liked CPJ offense. I know it works when run correctly, but it's boring in my opinion. It also is really hard to recruit kids that want to play in it.

If I was getting my ass handed to me the way you are I'd change the subject too.

Sad to say, but Vad just didn't work out. He didn't want to run the 30 and it showed.
