I’m pulling for Key. But I’m not getting my hopes up. I’ve been told by some alumni that (to put it politely) Batt is very confident in his own abilities to make a good hire, independent of the advice and input of some pretty respected alumni and ex-players. I think he’s going to want to justify his job promotion with his signature hire.

A friend of mine said that his "sources" said that Chadwell is a done deal. I doubt it, and I hope it's not true. I have nothing against Chadwell, but I think Key has proved himself and deserves the job.
