Who gives a flying öööö about where the recruiting class finishes, it clearly has not improved our win total to finish with higher rated recruiting classes. Recruiting rankings are for style points, and style points don't count on a scoreboard. Also most fans don't hate the TO, most fans hate losing. Unfortunately a significant contingent of fans are more obsessed with hate for the TO, so much so that they would rather hire the current goober and lose constantly than see that offense on the field again.
I don’t understand the fascination with the TO. People have short memories. We had a guy name Friedgen who scored lots and lots of points using a NFL style offense. Some of you act as if the only success Georgia Tech ever had was under Paul Johnson.

I don't understand why all these threads end up 3O guys vs. everybody else but here's the thing about the 3O. Sure it won us some big games and gave us some good seasons, but the landscape of college football has changed immensely in the last 5-7 years. The 3O was able to hide the sub-par recruiting for a while, but that was not the case anymore and we were falling further each year. If we had kept going at the rate we were, we wouldn't be competing for any more ACC championships, playing in any more Orange bowls, or beating any top teams. Sure we did in the past but if you couldn't see the direction it was heading then your head was in the sand. Just because the current coach hasn't gotten it together yet doesn't mean that the 3O was the key. We needed change. CGC may not ever get it together but the option wasn't going to cut it anymore either. CGC didn't kill the program because if a change has to be made this offseason, the next guy will have an easier time of it because he will be left with roster more resembling other P5 teams than this group received.

The TO did not kill Tech, hiring a clown coach did.

Nope. After DRad left we hired an AD that starved recruiting and went AWOL on boosters. CPJ does many things well, but greasing up boosters is absolutely not one of them. Bobinski was a unmitigated disaster. MBB and football both going into the tank at the same time wasn’t due to the TO or CGC.

TStan did a good job getting money flowing into the program again. He bumped money into recruiting that started to pay off. He pumped even more money into recruiting under CGC. All of that was positive for the program.

Now we will see how TStan handles an unpopular coach (2x).

We already have, remember "I've got my guy"

Well, if the staff changes work and he ends up with a Beamer situation, good. If it rolls into an O’Leary situation, good. If it turns into a dumpster fire, then we’ll start searching for another AD.

All this we had no talent drivel is a bunch of BS. We needed to coach the players up not allow them to regress. We became an undisciplined team overnight with all the extracurricular crap, we had no idea what we were trying to do on offense because we hired a lame OC nobody else wanted, we gambled on a DC for some reason which we'll blame was $$ related and we went hiched our wagon to Key who brings nothing to the table but the ability to groom OL for bullfighting. We made some really bad choices, got results that were not really unexpected & used the built-in "lack of talent" and Rona excuses to buy them extra years of employment.

We could have transitioned in a rational fashion building off our strengths, but we had to execute the dumbest strategy imaginable by trying to force schemes on a team without having a framework, foundation or any semblance of a developmental process that had any chance of being successful. The old regime didn't get shutout 2 games in a row and get shellacked to the tune of 100 pts. We've had historically bad losses & our record the last 3 years is all-time bad. There's barely a record in futility this regime has not smashed yet. We had NFL capable players on our team, but outside of Gibbs they looked so pathetic you'd have never guessed it. That's not on the players, that's on the staff 100%.

Year 7 you guys will still be looking back at the old regime and blaming them for everything because this clown has nothing. All he's got is excuses.

Collins inherited a team with exactly two players that received post-season honors in 2018: Parker Braun and Pressley Harvin. That includes the "Honorable Mention" category.

The only position groups going into 2019 that would have been considered "good" or "average" were RB and DB. Everything else was "below avg."

The same AD that ultimately hired Saban at Bama went thru Francione, Price, and Shula first. As has been mentioned, Stans has gotten money flowing again. Somehow. If we shut that off bc of his first hire, we deserve what we get next.

The reason you don't understand is because there is no contingent of people I am aware of wanting to bring back the 30; but there are a bunch of guys tired of the whining from CGC defenders still complaining that the 30 is what is causing all the problems going into season 4.

If we had kept going at the rate we were, we wouldn't be competing for any more ACC championships, playing in any more Orange bowls, or beating any top teams.

Remember when we opened the season with a TD in our first offensive possession in our first 3 games?

That is why.
