#KIFFIN2GT

With Tstan running things with Lane Liffin. For sure

You'ed hope but you don't know! Again, changing out PJ for another coach may work, but we at GSU have seen many tragic HC hires!
Does GT have more problems than just PJ or is your AD & sports department part of the overall problem? I don't know so tell me!

You fire him and it will take 5 or 6 yrs to recover. I have been a Tech fan long enough to know you can't switch coaches like that here, the program will suffer.

Maybe not 5-6 years but you'ed be lucky to see it in 2 years. Then again it did happen to GSU. When we switched to a more heavy passing game you have to retrain everyone and then recruit for the offense. That's not to say you can't switch from the PJ spread option to another offensive scheme & be successful.
Still you never can tell. Can the new coach really get the players he needs to run the new HC's Scheme.

Just for the record, how old are you? I am almost 60 years old and have followed Tech football since a mere infant. In fact, I am currently working on a book centered around my forever hero, Coach Dodd.

I am very well aware of limitations Tech has and has always had as far as recruiting. I also knew a bunch of football players over the years who were adequate students and nothing more. If you want to believe the state of Georgia offers only a small handfull of players that Tech can recruit, then that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. No, Tech can’t/doesn’t recruit some of the dunces that UGA recruits, and that has always been the case. But every year, there are a number of 4 star and higher players in the state of Georgia that if you will look at their Rivals recruiting page, they have commitable offers from Tech. You are big on facts, go look them up.

As I said, everyone is entitled to what they think. But goIng around selling yourself as an encyclopedia of facts when you are merely stating your opinion is a fool’s errand.
If you don't think the pool of HS players in Ga is small for Tech just ask the coaches! You don't have take my word for it. If you have been following Tech that long you have not been paying attention. Stanford and Notre Same have 2 and 3 players on their entire roster. That is plenty proof of the players that can't get into tough academic schools.

TRUE!
Erk used PJs spread option to play for 4 National Championships and won 3 from 1985 - 1999 and was always in the playoffs.
PJ turned around the Hawaii program around.
PJ turned around the NAVY program
PJ returned GSU to greatness with an 86 winning percentage, was in the playoffs every year, played for 3 NCs and won 2.

Both NAVY and now ARMY have had GREAT success with the PJ coaches that now run those teams.

Don't tell me the other teams defenses have figured it out and can easily defeat it.
GSU fans heard that for 30 years, Navy & Army fans heard the same thing.
Funny, it never happened and Army & Navy have heard the same thing.

You've got a bigger problem than PJ and his coaching!

What in the hell are you talking about the post was about recruiting? The post was to show how hard it is to recruit in Ga and how many players can actually able to get into tech.

Sorry I said TRUE to your post & then added some extra things that are facts.

I was replying to others that have posted the same nonsense in other posts.

I agree with you!

Here's how you know they aren't facts. When they have to tell everyone they are saying facts. ööööing CPJ lover boys

Then look it up to support your nonsense.

You really don't want to - do you!

Recruiting is a numbers game you need a large pool of players to offer that can get into your school! Then you have to fight off schools like Ga, fla,Alabama, etc. You may get a percentage of these players. The problem is that pool is not big enough to begin with. Then you have to find a kid that wants to do the academic work load at Tech, then the pool shrinks even more. Why do you think Ross, O'Leary jumped ship when they did? They simply grew tired of the academic bs. As far as selling myself as a encyclopedia I try to post something at least based on logic. All the people on this site that want to run of PJ are not looking at the big picture. I mean recruiting and how tough it is to win at Tech. As tough as the ACC is now someone like Bailey would be hard pressed to have a winning season.

How about quit trying to make the same point over and over. No one is debating that Tech has recruiting challenges. The thread was originally about bringing Lane Kiffen to Tech, and I completely agree that not only would Tech not be interested in him, but he would not want to bring his cheating and trying to recruit the type of player he recruits now. Please, I don’t need any more examples, and we just differ somewhat in our view on things.
