Wish List

My only requirement is that they don't run some one off scheme that dominates any press we do get.

The person a lot of you are describing aounds a lot like derek ööööing Dooley. At this point, I'm cool with being done with cpj(provided some miracle doesnt happen with our season), but after firing CPJ(and given our finances) are we gonna be in the same place as tennessee (or worse)? because offering some G5 or FCS guy that is unproven could have a high possibility of not working out; it has a great potential to be the Georgia Techs version of firing Fulmer.

I'm 100% on the Lane Train! I dont think he will want to come here and get a major step down in talent from FAU, though. Ain't even joking.

Whoever takes over is going to have a lot of trouble. Our Abacks are not going to be good in many schemes and the Bbacks only good in a prostyle offense. The ol will be bad in most schemes.

I want a coach who is a steady hand. A real CEO, who has been around the block and knows what good football fundamentals look like, who will hire coordinators and let them do what they do well but will keep the product on the field consistent. I want a guy who will find gems and develop them into NFL players, and who will never have a losing season.

I want Chan Gailey.

The best option we have is Mike McIntyre. I believe he will stay if he succeeds. Most others will not. No one can succeed unless we provide flexibility for recruiting.

Is it even possible GT cans CPJ this year? The contract extension makes it pretty difficult.
Several sources indicate the buyout is only around 2m. I'd be okay with CPJ sticking around another year, but TStan would need to bring in a coach or former coach PJ would respect as a consultant to point out and correct his issues. He needs some outside perspective because he obviously doesn't see why öööös not working.

I'm kinda surprised no one has said Glenn Spencer. For reals. From here. Went here. Graduated. Defense minded first. Has coached at 'bigger' programs. Fantastic recruiter.
