Actually it's Duh kew la. I'm a life long Lawrenceville native and my mother's side of the family is from Dacula. What really irritates me is when people call it Dac coo la.
Lol I know it is. I mispronounce it on purpose. My dad taught school at Dacula and I went to Grayson. I’ve also been in Lawrenceville for too long.

I lived in Lawrenceville for awhile. I was hassled by the man for having a Georgia Tech Alumni license plate frame. The cop must have been a dwag.

Came to this thread to learn more about our coaching search. Got more than I bargained for. How people call “Houston Mill” House-Ton Mill and think that’s a thing is beyond me.
Many, many years ago the weeny, snowflakes at Emory deemed it to be so.

Allbenny, Schley County ?, Anyway where I grew up Tifton most everyone said pee can. Just South of Tifton is a town called correctly Omeeeguh or as some folks Omayguh. I recall as a child hearing Atlanta pronounced with an R ending. El dough rodo or the correct El dough raydo is also South of Tifton.
My family is from tifton and I lived there for my formative years.

My grandmother never ended a word with a vowel. If a word ended with a vowel the always added the “r.”
