Artificial Turf Returns?

I do sort of hope we alternate the light/dark green every 5 yards. I always like that look when they cut the field that way. IIRC, they can "groom" a turf field to look like that too without actually being 2 different shades of green.

Like this:

No no no - really screw them up -

All 16 Cobb County High Schools play on artificial turf. Costs were estimated $550-600k. They have a 10 year life cycle (installed in 2010 and being replaced this year.)

All 14 Fulton HSs have artificial turf as well.

lol. Majority of HS in America have field turf
The baseball players in Tampa don't like the turf in the dome. Say that their careers are shortened from playing on it. I know baseball is 82 plus games, but you know if it can be exploited, our rivals will use it against us.

Melting shoes was NC State @BDS, first game of 1990 season.

Happened a lot in the 1971 install at GF, too. We went through adidas, Puma, SpotBilt & Riddell shoes like popcorn at a movie. It was difficult then to get a glue that would hold the shoe together when a big ugly war daddy wanted to move. Seems like adidas finally came up with something for the linemen & something else for the WRs & RBs. By the next year Riddell had figured it out.

New related question: Has something happened to that creek/sewer that runs directly under BDS@HGF & might be effecting this? If yes, thought the "field shift" during the no-Braine(r) renovation/expansion was to have fixed/mitigated the problem.

Much, much prefer the real stuff to a plastic field.

Wow. Riddell. There's a blast from the past.

This is to get a few Atlanta United games at BDS each year. Currently impossible with real grass.

I'm gonna be pissed if "SHAW" is in huge letters on our field. It would be like our McDonald's basketball court

I wonder if they’ve painted the ööööty rusted corrugated steel siding and rusty I beams all over the stadium. Those look far worse than our turf has ever looked.

Additional upgrades include a new fan- and energy-friendly LED lighting system, a new sound system, improved stadium signage, fresh paint throughout the facility and a refresh of restrooms throughout the stadium.

Sounds like it

As long as the color scheme isn't a pile of putrid Blue, i will learn to live with it.

Every first class program is consistent with its field design. Every one.
