If we were already bare bones because of Covid, and we lose some other guys due to injury, then it could make sense to cancel. Sims may have been the last Jenga piece.

We've played our fair share of games undermanned. More than other teams.

From a football standpoint I'm glad for this cancellation, Miami was going to kick our ass almost as bad as Clemson.
 
We could make history as the lowest win team to ever play a bowl game. (Not counting teams that subsequently had to vacate wins.)

There are about 38,000 road accident fatalities every year in the US, and something pretty close to all 330,000,000 of us ride in cars every year.

About 100,000 under the age of 75 have died of COVID in the US. So, no, driving is not more dangerous than COVID, even if you're under 80.

Do you think that the coaches are setting bad examples for these kids? Like that’s why we are getting so many personal foul penalties? Too much Juice?

The case fatality rate is not 99.9, it's 99.4. That means if all US citizens got COVID tomorrow, that would be about two million dead Americans, way more than died in all wars in our history combined. Plus, we would have 10 million people needing ICU care, in a country with 100,000 ICU beds. Just wear your mask and flatten the curve.

I don’t think we cancelled a game because of bad calls in the previous game. That would be even worse than cancelling because it would be a money-loser.

Setting bad examples? I don’t know but that seems unlikely.

But whatever the reason, it is the coaches responsibility to fix it.

I’m not following you. What’s the connection between cancelling the game and personal foul penalties?

Either way, the coaches are teachers and so is the GTAA. The whole enterprise is pedagogical and should be treated accordingly.

Teaching them bad habits. Or giving a bad example for the players. But I understand now what you mean.
