Would be surprising to go this route. It’s basically tripling down on the strategy of the biggest failure in program history. And a strategy that doesn’t really align with the broader GT culture.

I think we go with an anti-Geoff hire. Hard ass curmudgeon than wants to talks Xs and Os and didn’t give too öööös about Twitter
If this strategy gets us 3 wins a year consistently and we triple down then we'll have 9 wins a year. I'd definitely take that.

I think any comparison between Collins and Deon are completely baseless. Maybe both talk big. Deon has always backed it up. Look at what each are actually doing at their current schools. There is no comparison. I think he would be exactly what all of the Collins lovers thought Clown would be. Instant excitement, instant jolt in recruiting, but actually good coaching instead of ineptness. Tech is too stupid to ever do it. Wanna mark words? Pass on this opportunity and watch him be a great success somewhere else. I was a doubter but now I'm sold.

Fire Tstan. It's high time for Prime Time.

I’m sure I’m in the minority on this, but I’m not sold on the Deion idea. I’ll support him if hired just like I supported Gef when he was hired, but the thought of another Twitter handle coach turns my stomach. That is exactly all of the stuff that I want to get away from with Collins and get back to playing football.
CDS is everything Geoff promised us he was.

The strategy of Make Atlanta Great Again is right, Geoff just couldn’t execute.

Have a feeling AZ state is more attractive than GT
People seem to forget that ASU went a whacky way with Herm Edwards who didn’t actively recruit other than on campus stuff. They tried this weird NFL meets CFB model.

Makes me wonder if they’re risk averse now and Deion isn’t high on their radar.

Auburn Id believe, but no way Arizona State lands him over us if we both want him.
Not a cultural fit at Auburn…the boys in the back room are going to give him the keys to the program.

In all other regards, Auburn checks all the boxes. But not a cultural fit.

Nobody is a cultural fit at Auburn until Yella Wood croaks

Deion and Geoff do not have similar styles at all imo.. Deion is not trying to be the players friends.. he has actual son(s) on the team and knows you have to have discipline for football and for life.. Ge0ff is trying to be everyones friend out there and throws discipline out of the window..
I agree entirely. Deion has the stuff to lay it on the line, in the players faces, to the coaches also. Practice like you play, every down. Hit that field with a win or die attitude (figuratively). He also knows that not everybody is going to the NFL. He will get the most of the team and he will build men.

I just don't see Deion bolting from Jackson State yet. He seems committed growing the HBCU brand as a whole for a while. If anyone is leaving JSU for a head coaching job, I think it might be Dennis Thurman.
We need to be creative in our offer. We should give him an incentive laden contract including triggers for wins and attendance increases.

We should offer to add Jackson State to our schedule for an extended period if necessary. We should be playing an HBCU team in Atlanta every year regardless.
