Camp is in Session

Stopping to teach takes away from reps. Reps are valued over everything else. Mistakes are reviewed and corrected in film session/position group meetings. There's very little on field coaching during practice.

Collins seems to have recognized how stupid that was and has made a change this year.

Read between the lines of Thacker's quote from the spring.
back to back worst scoring defense in program history. Ouch...

Were we scrimmaging today? Why were they using BDS instead of the practice fields?

Or we can read the verbatims...
Tashard Choice's first impression of a Collins' practice was that it was a complete shit show.

That bold just meant we went from 0 to something, while taking a full 2 years to realize the importance of on-field coaching during practice.

You're going to have to show your work.

Post practice interview Spring 2019. Remarked how crazy the pace of pratice was and his inability to keep up cause he wanted to teach but couldn't cause it was onto the next rep. Laughed it off as only TC can as nothing he ever saw on a NFL pratice field.

What I keep hearing from the coaches:

Players taking more of the lead.
Game speed is faster.
Players are bigger faster stronger.

From the players:

I am processing faster.
We know what we are supposed to do now and are working on details.
I am surrounded by some talented guys.
Freshmen are coming in and are focused.

I think the 3-9 teams we've had winning league games on grit are behind us. We are transitioning to a consistent winner... right now. Dunno what we will finish this season but this year or next we will announce our presence with authority.

Leo Blackburn done for the year. Torn ACL. He posted it on his instagram story a few minutes ago. Bummer.

While not a tremendous loss because I think we have plenty of capable guys at WR, Leo was definitely a Freshman I expected to be an X factor and make some great plays.

I've read and re-read your post a few times including reading the article and Thacker's quotes.

But I'm not clear that I'm seeing what you sent me to see. Would you elaborate on the point you are trying to make? I have a hunch that most will agree but something isn't clear.

luckily it was early before the season, so he will have plenty of time for next season, and we're not losing a part of the offense we had started to rely on yet. Looking forward to seeing him next year!

If it weren't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

I mean good effing freaking grief.

Why does God hate me? Specifically me? Do I need to sacrifice a virgin or something? Should be plenty of them around GT

Seriously. This is just unreal. I'm sure the coaches were designing plays to capitalize on his obvious ability. Crap. Double crap.
