People thinking Taisun will take snaps away from Sims are only seeing "clemson" and thinking he is more than he is (at least at this point.)
Also seeing 5 star, compared to Lamar Jackson, and was projected to start last year at Clemson until he was injured.People thinking Taisun will take snaps away from Sims are only seeing "clemson" and thinking he is more than he is (at least at this point.)

Don’t think he was ever projected to start. DJ U was a backup to sunshine in 2020, and looked very good when he started a few games. He was also a top 5 national recruit. Also seeing 5 star, compared to Lamar Jackson, and was projected to start last year at Clemson until he was injured.
5*? Would love to see this link?
Phommachanh is perhaps the most curious case. At one time considered neck-and-neck with D.J. Uiagalelei for the starting job at Clemson, Phommachanh left Dec. 3 to get an early jump with a new team in the spring semester but is still looking.
not a 5 star and wasn't projected to start over DJ.Also seeing 5 star, compared to Lamar Jackson, and was projected to start last year at Clemson until he was injured.

That’s unfortunate. It’s been that way since Sims has been at GT. As a whole, I’m unimpressed with Sims thus far. Hopefully, better coaching will flip the switch. No matter who the QB is though, they have to play behind an OL coached by Key, who’s been terrible so far. There is no one close to Sims

Now that Chase Brice has moved on to Duke, Phommachanh knows there is an opportunity to put himself in position to be the Tigers’ backup quarterback behind All-ACC quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He spent the nine days Clemson was able to practice this spring fighting off true freshman D.J. Uiagalelei, who enrolled in January.
Uiagalelei was the No. 1 quarterback and No. 2 overall prospect in the nation coming out of high school this past season. However, Swinney said last Friday that Phommachanh would be the Tigers’ No. 2 quarterback if the season was to start today.
My fault, 4*, but 4th best dual threat QB in his class, while sims, if I remember right, was 20 something5*? Would love to see this link?

Say what you will about CGC, but it does seem a little crazy to me that we are discussing a QB competition at Georgia Tech between a former #10 prospect and a #4 prospect.
Oh, so they weren't very highly regarded QB prospects coming out of HS. Got it. What was Dabo even thinking?Probably because we aren't. We are talking about #4 and #10 dual threat QB's, not even overall QB's; much less the overall prospects.

Sims and Weinke when he was at FSU (1997-2000) have very similar Alpha, strong zip level throwing motions.
