Expansion Rumors…

I think money is the argument being made by the B1G crowd, nationwide conference should mean more $$. The SEC crowd seems focused on what their next door neighbor thinks. I don't know what's up with the guys wanting to stay in the ACC forever.
I think the people who want to remain in the ACC are trying to hold onto some kind of tradition / nostalgia of what CFB was before expansion started. That said, if GT is struggling to win in what is considered either 4th or 5th out of the P5, going to the B1G won’t be easy. The prize is $100 million regardless of record.

Now if the future of FBS goes to 2-3 super conferences with relegation, that will be real interesting. It will show quickly who‘s in it to win (Bama, tOSU, UGA, ND, USC, OU, etc) and who is just collecting a paycheck (Vandy, Illinois, Maryland, etc).

The only part of this post that is relevant is that Tech's status locally and nationally will elevate if Tech gets its act together. That's it. That's all. That's all it is now, and all it ever has been. The exaggeration of the ACC somehow being a significant anchor holding Tech back is the most laughable bullshit ever in this expansion saga. We've always had much bigger albatrosses than our ACC affiliation.
Amen! POTY!

Look, I know you, and to some extent myself, are in some sort of game of thrones mind set where we want to watch the world of the SEC burn because of how things have shaken out. But the bottom line is fans want to see us play uGA, Auburn and Tennessee. I believe that Tech is capable of competing, and even winning. I’ve sent it. So spare us the taking of the ball and going home.
Fans will get the hell over it. If the BIG10 could grab FSU, Miami, and Clemson along with us, screw the SEC.

IDGAF about seeing us play Auburn or Tennessee. Or increasingly U[sic]GA.

I do believe that the days of COFH are numbered, but I maintain we should never be the one to pull the plug on it

I don't think it will matter in the long run - tStan needs to pull the plug on the game. As much as it pains me to say so. Its like pulling the plug on a relative with a DNR. The rivalry is over.

@jake7 or @saxondawg can weigh in if I am wrong about this.

It's a great rivalry. I live in Atlanta, which is another reason I would like to see it continue. It's one of the main reasons I purchase Tech season tickets. This year, I'm looking forward to Tech-Ole Miss. Keep COFH alive.

Bro are you ok? You’re a longtime poster yet you’re posting like a troll handle for Diseqc. Calling upon uga fans to tell us the rivalry is over? What is the matter with you? Did Collins break you this bad?

There's like three or four people in this thread making it seem like this is an actual serious discussion and a good decision after a four-game losing streak. Full retard that the same people who think we need to go to a "stronger conference" to stay competitive are the ones who want to drop our biggest rival. Completely nonsensical.

This is dumb.

Just stop. Get help. Maybe step away from your keyboard until 2023 or 2024.
