I think CPJ's finally done with Taquon

Tobias wins rookie of the week in the ACC....doesn't get the start.

öööö man. Paul makes it hard to like him with stubborn shit like this. No I don’t see practice Monday through Friday. I just see Tavares is far superior to Taquan in leading this offense on Saturdays. Taquan is as indecisive in running this offense today as he was last year. Tobias is decisive and has command of this offense.

If Paul is doing this crap to protect his senior team captain, that’s horseshit.

If this is to fake out Miami, good move. If he actually starts TQM, it makes no sense. I care a lot more about who looks good in the actual games than who looks good in practice when they are not going to be hit.

Did you say Tavares?

I'm fine with starting Marshall on senior night and letting him drive until he doesn't score, then making the swap.

This move saves Oliver from a few hits and makes Miami prepare for both qbs.

This is exactly it! Take the burden of a full game off the freshman, by using a 2nd QB who has a decent chance to score atleast once on 2-3 drives.

We’re facing the same problem in having to prep for Miami’s 2 QB

CPJ gave his standard quote. "I don't see why he wouldn't. We'll see how practice goes". Zero reason for him to let Miami know exactly what he is doing.

Saban did the same thing with his QBs.

This. I'd like to see Oliver start, but the coaches obviously know way more than me about what each player brings to the table. I think keeping Miami on their toes and keeping both QBs fresh is a great idea.

I do think Tobias gives us a better chance to win. I also think Tobias will be beat the hell up if he keeps running the ball 40 times a game. I think that was part of the reason we saw more bback runs in the 2nd half than Tobias keeping the ball. We need the kid to stay healthy. Taquon should start and tire Miami defense then put a fresh Tobias in for the kill. As long as we're not down by 2 TD's at the end of the first half we'll be ok.
