PS. I don't care who starts – I think they're both good. If I had to pick I'd agree that Tobias has looked better. But nobody pays me for my opinion, and I value it duly.

With objective information on missed reads running the office but I don’t think there’s an argument here but I have no data to support it.

TQM was 5 of 7 reading the triple during the UNC game. Both were missed gives resulting in negative yards.

TO was 6 of 8 reading the triple during the UNC game. One was the missed give that resulted in a wild pitch. The other he waited a fraction of a second long and tried to pull, but Jerry was not letting go.

TO ran several milines all perfect reads.

TO ran several pitch only read plays. There was one clear pitch that he kept for positive yards and 2 that you could go either way, but the pitch would have been money at a risk but he made 6 risk free yards.

It looks like TO makes better passing decisions. Both are not star passers for 2018

Right now, TO is a little cooler under pressure and is more healthy. He should start or get the majority of plays based on recent play. But, TQM is good and could help reduce TO’s wear.

I think points/drive tells the story on who should be getting the lion's share of playing time.

I'd have to go back and look but you may recall from memory, was one of TQM's missed reads the Howard fumble-6? I was thinking that was a bad read when I saw it happen live.
 
That play was a counter option trap dive. This is a called give play and does not require a give read.

TQM has a give read that looks bad, but was not. The reads both go outside. The DT just beat the OG very badly and the BBack was crunched.

Both of TQMs bad reads resulted in a TFL on a give to the bback read.
 
TQM is guaranteed to play (and take significant snaps) . He knows more of the offense which means more film for opponents to study. They have a larger set of plays and 2 players tendencies to factor against. We will have far.more options to use in a given situation.

If TO started, there'd be an expectation of a far more limited playbook, and it would be easier to plan for and scheme against. Theres going to be an exceptionally limited set of plays from TO on 3rd and long for instance, making it easier to shutdown.

None of us know for sure, but I doubt TO was the same quarterback in week 1 that he is right now. PJ has basically said as much in his press conferences. I trust PJ with the call at QB.

I think I remember everyone wanted Jaybo to start over JN for a little while.

TQM to TO is nowhere near Jaybo to JN.
