Players in the Portal [Official "They Gone" Thread]

Did he take online courses at Buffalo while he attended Georgia Tech? Or was he a grad student at Tech? Or can a player graduate from college A then transfer to college B but still take undergrad courses for a second degree?

So now you get four games plus a bowl game and you can still redshirt. I’m not getting the point of this. Eventually they’re going to just remove the redshirt rule and give everyone 5 years to play.
I guess they are trying to eliminate one of the excuses for players opting out of bowl games.

How many players opt out of bowl games to preserve eligibility? The reasoning makes sense but it feels like there are probably not all that many players who have played exactly four games and whose teams are in bowls.

I've only heard about one, but I'm sure they're are others? Do you think they are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts so a player that wants to play but is at four games can play? That is plausible but we're talking about the NCAA here.

No, I am sure that is the reason, I'm just questioning how much of a difference it will make.

It won't be long, if it isn't already happening, that teams like UGAg have a "bowl NIL" that pays bonuses to players to keep them from sitting out a bowl game. $100k to play Peach Bowl, $200k for the natty game - something like that

Lamiles Brooks is at Baylor. Damn it

He only spells his name with one "m"? (Joke! -- I'll see myself out...)

Just bc he’s there doesn’t mean he’s going there. He’s not even in the transfer portal. He’s probably visiting a former teammate or something.
No player on the Baylor roster is from Jacksonville nor finished their playing career at Trinity Christian Academy where Brooks played.
