Tech fell from #7 to #8 public school. Rankings have been stagnant since his tenure. Peterson is treading water, as best.

This. Peterson was hired to take us to Stanford/Northwestern/etc level reputation and has failed and been an embarrassment along the way. If we are going to bear the cost of investing in a new coach, we need a president who is going to maximize the investment.
