Venables or Bust

I might be krazie but I don't see any coach being successful enough to springboard into a super job in three years with our current players. A lateral move to an easier job maybe but potentially I think GT could find money to keep them longer. The lines will need to be revamped and with our academic policies that won't be quick.

I guess that's what I mean. Given the situation, if we're seeing the next coach hired away for a better job, we aren't doing that badly.

Who's Bust? When can we sign him?
This is what a bust looks like.

I don't know. A couple of years ago when PJ was on the AJC podcast with Zach Klein he mentioned the fact that he had been offered about half a dozen Power 5 jobs. Of course he didn't say which ones but I've always assumed that Auburn was one of them.

I remember that. And I don’t want to say somebody is lying.

I have a very long time friend that was a faculty rep on the AU athletic board. We talked about this at a reunion and he said no offer was made. But he, for them, might have just been trying to save face.

In the world of the internet, etc., if he was offered that many jobs, I do not believe it could have been kept quit. If he was offered, that means he was interviewed. And ALL of this was kept under wraps each time?

Find it hard to believe.

But don’t care.

If a coach here feels he/she would be better served elsewhere - go for it.

But it works both ways and he has had over 10 years . We are not even able to put a team on the field that can execute the basics. A team that, as often as not, comes to play for one half of football.

They’re guessing you dipshit. It’s bit like he’s come out and said anything about his intentions.

Oh but you talked to some inside source fans I’m sure.
Again, let’s bet... dipshit

Why the hell go to kstate? If that is his dream because of ties there he really is just a great coordinator.

If we just go ahead and add Auburn to the list, thinking back to what other schools could have been interested in him. Maybe Kansas, Vandy, Iows State, Baylor, SMU.
