That was TStan. And he wasn't ööööting on our players, he was highlighting the importance of recruiting. Youre being too emotional. Are you ok?
What if he allowed you to bring your own water and a snack into the game?I noted it was Tstan in post before that one.
I’m butthurt about PJ and don’t care for Tstan. I will get over it. Obviously I hope CGC is awesome, but im gonna be cunty about it.
I was a little dismayed when Collins talked about the offense hurting the defense because they practice against it. Which he knows really isn't true after mid August and isn't true for most of the time. Unless you run the same damn offense everyone else is running. And we weren't.
You don't play against your own scheme Saturday. You don't practice against it Monday through Thursday.
I was fairly taken aback that he repeated that canard.
Pollack would have been a mediocre DE had Stroud and Seymour not been on the interior getting double teamed. Pollack got exposed in the NFLThe problem is not what the details/facts are because the public, generally speaking and especially for something like this, don’t care about the details. They see a “weird” offense (one I love BTW from an X’s and O’s standpoint), see a poor/mediocre D, some talking head like Pollack states that no one wants to practice against it, and voila, the perception takes hold.
Anyway, regardless of what the details are, the general public’s perception is all that matters. If we had changed that it’d be different.
Edited to say that I am a “details/facts matter” person. I’ve just learned to view things from a different angle when it comes to public perception.
Probably the best situation they could ask for. Coach retires so no reason to get defensive, new guy is high energy and has been here before so he's got a decent vibe. Only real issue is system changes, but that's everywhere. If I were doing a transition the only one easier for players is a promoted assistant.I miss PJ and didn’t want him to leave.
I’m also excited about GC’s ideas.
We don’t have to choose sides. They both love GT and want GT to win.
Wonder how our players feel about all the change that’s out of their control.

This is why you talk to the team first, before the presser. He can tell them what he's going to say and what it means, and lay the groundwork. What we say at pressers is for the media and fans; could be different than his messaging to the team. I find that as long as the team knows what you're going to say, its cool.My thing about CGC is that I relate these comments to the comments Smart said about having a bare cupboard at UGA. Everyone kind of laughed at him then but it turns out he found a way to improve recruiting. CGC is talking about a similar transformation at GT. He made a few comments about a pro style offense and a defense that faces pro style offense. It will be interesting to see if recruiting really does ratchet up or not as we move away from the TO.
I was impressed with CGC's comment that when he was introduced to the team at Temple, he had prepared his "first ever HC speech" which was the culmination of his life's work. It was going to be passionate and win the team over to the new regime. Then he got in there and realized these guys were sad because of the coach who was leaving (voluntarily). He needed to empathize with their loss and recognize their connection to the old regime, before trying to impress them with the new ones. This is why you talk to the team first, before the presser. Every player on the offensive side of the ball that enjoys catching passes has to be ecstatic.
I'd guess that Lucas, Graham, and Yates are probably eager to throw the ball a bit more. Oliver is either working on his throwing mechanics or learning how to play RB.
Cooper already snaps XP's. We should be fineWe definitely need to get several OL practicing shotgun snaps.

It isn't that difficultNot the same snap.
We also want several guys doing it. I don’t know what we can actively coach before spring practice. So I would take a bowl practice to show guys drills to work on before spring practice.
It isn't that difficult
I’ve seen a lot of games lost on bad snaps. Start reping it now.
The current roster isn't where anybody would want it.He had a lot to say about roster management that went beyond talking about changing recruiting goals. He knows the current roster isn't where he wants it to be. I'm sure he'll treat the current players with respect, but he pretty clearly thinks he's got a talent deficiency on his hands (even though last year was one of CPJ's more talented classes, I think).
