I equate not being embarrassed to be a fan of a school's sports team with not being embarrassed to wear a shirt with that school's name on it.

Dude. I'm not talking about any weak alumni who are embarrassed we are bad. I'm talking about those that could care less if we're 12-0 or 0-12. If you havent noticed, that's probably more than half of the GT grads.
 
Really should remove uga. For a Tech fan, they are undoubtedly number 1. Would be more interesting to see who everyone else see's as number 2.
 
UGA fans are on a whole new level of asshatness now that they have a natty. It is insufferable. Not going to officially vote for them since that is the default answer. Over the years I've seen a UGA fan make crap up to get a GT fan get ejected by security, a drunken UGA nearly knock over an elderly GT fan with zero care, etc. Some fan bases leave a lot to be desired but I've never seen anything on the levels of UGA bad.

Pretty much all my GT gear are in the form of hoodies. I'll wear them regardless of what our record is, and I didn't attend GT. I guess it depends on what you associate your GT gear with...

Who the öööö are you to decide that Tech alumni have to follow or even give two shits about football - or any sport? Why are you so ööööing confused by the difference between: (1) a football fan; and (2) a college graduate?

And your logic suggests that you can't be a Tech alumnus - at least not in engineering. The thread is about the worst fans. Your dumb mother-ööööing post says that Tech "fans" are the worst because . . . too many of them (in your arrogant opinion) are not fans!!! How the hell can you be a bad fan if you were never a fan to begin with??? Just come out and say that someone who got a world-class engineering education and degree at Georgia Tech, but doesn't give two shits about college football, is just a bad person. Because they literally can't be a bad fan.

Whoa dude. I'm just saying GT alumni tend to not follow GT sports and this is different than most other Power Five schools. By "the worst" I meant "are the worst fans", which seemed in the context of this thread of who are the worst fans? I always take the high road with insults so I suppose I will just leave it at that. If I ever meet you in person, we can have a beer and laugh about getting pissed over stupid football message boards.
 
I just realized, I forgot Texas A&M because I really consider them more of a cult than a fanbase. They're definitely #1, though, because they are so ööööing weird and culty.

LOL I'm learning that folks on this board are "special", just know that these people are a very odd subset of tech fans, thankfully. It's like an impenetrable bubble/echo chamber for self-proclaimed superfans. And they definitely protect their own. It's quite comical, actually.
 
I've always had an unpleasant experience with Ohio State Bucknuts. Their entitlement is off the charts and I love they always fall short, even with their blatant cheating in recruiting. Especially Mr. Sweater Vest Guy (who is no longer there)!!
 
The other UT (Texas) fans are completely insufferable.

I will defend my fellow alumni from all enemies, foreign and domestic. :lol: Alumni do NOT have to be fans of Tech football. There is NOTHING wrong with that, and IMO no one should act like there is.

Now if someone wants to say something like "what school produces the fewest (or lowest percentage of) football fans" then I would definitely put Tech in the mix. But they're not bad. And I do not believe that those of us who ARE fans, are the worst . . . for example, fair weather fans, unreasonable fans, nasty fans, etc. But I would at least entertain arguments on that point. And if I actually beliecved that stigs02jrt was a Tech fan, he could be exhibit #1.

Yes, the degree to which I'm "loud and proud" about my tech fanhood during football season (by wearing gear) is dependent on how good the football team is doing. But me following/watching the team doesn't change regardless of record. If you call that bandwagonnery, go with it. Even flunkies are allowed to have opinions, no matter how retarded.
 
UGAg first and foremost. Second place is easily Miami. Extremely arrogant.
