I think there is a difference between wearing less gear when we are losing and saying you are embarrassed to be seen wearing Tech gear. I agree almost everyone, including me, wears less gear and/or is less "into it" to some extent when we are not good. It's just not as exciting or fun when you're not winning.

But to say you're embarrassed to be seen wearing Tech gear? That's something I don't get, and the main reason you are catching flak from so many people. Have some pride in yourself and your team, even in tough times. There's no need to be embarrassed about your fandom.

Bingo. But WHY are you wearing the gear less? Why don't you "have pride in yourself and your team, even in tough times?" I'd say it's because you are embarrassed after getting öööö beat 42-0 (thankfully Kiffin had mercy) while UGA fans are strutting around talking repeat. But you'll say you are just "less into it." LOL ok semantics. Time to face facts and call a spade a spade :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

UGAg is a given just because they are our rival.

But Miami fans are a close second...I can’t begin to tell you the dozens of obnoxious, arrogant, Miami fans i’ve rubbed elbows with in the stands and other places over the years that wanted to debate football with me, and I knew way more about their current team and certainly the history of Miami football than they did.

That just makes you look like a complete idiot when the person you’re debating knows more about “your team” than you do.
 
Maybe I'm alone in this, but I have almost no interactions with UGA fans in real life. Basically everyone I encounter at work is either a GT grad or went somewhere like Auburn or Purdue or whatever, my friends are some combination of GT grads/not from Georgia, and I live in the city...just don't see a lot of them. I do know I'd be annoyed by their whole southern frat golf bro thing if I saw it more.

I honestly have a more acute distaste for UNC/Duke (UVA would be there too if they weren't always terrible). Our games with them are always tight and it constantly feels like the ACC refs are rigging it for them. UNC just rubs me the wrong way

From a food fight at a basketball game to a mascot that threw water at the GT student section during a football game (both occurring at GT)…the award for worst fan base goes to Miami.

Ohio State wins the award for douchiest. If for nothing else than the elitist attitude and calling it THE Ohio State University.

u(sic)ga wins the award for most obnoxious. They’ll bark in your face… nothing more needs be said.
 
Unfortunately this thread has a lot of little brother syndrome in it. There is not a single UGA fan I know that doesn’t want GT and Auburn to be at least competitive. UF is a different story. The end of the Mullen disaster combined with what’s going on recently under Napier has them laughing. That said, the concern for UTjr is real.

When in the ACC, Maryland was the worst fan base I’ve ever seen. There is no close 2nd.

who said anything about uga fans not wanting us to be competitive? Everyone wants their opponent to be competitive so they can look better when they beat them. We’re talking about average walmart mouth breeders being obnoxious pieces of öööö which is the majority of the fans that fill up their stadium.
