Would everyone take a minute

After beating them for 4 straight years, with our expectations, that was tough to take. 9/11 jacked us up.

Maryland - Stay inbounds Joe. Should've won that one.
Clemson - Woody still runnning free on us.
UVA - Hook and Ladder game winner. Should've won that one.
FSU - Close-ish, but delayed until end of year. Had we played them early, I think we win that and. build momentum

Welcome to GT football.

1978 Peach Bowl, Christmas Day vs Purdue at Atl-FulCo stadium. Played my brand new Mattel electronic football game in the car. Good times.

Watched us drop 69 on Samford first home game of 07. Family is from all over the country and I was the first (and only so far) to go to Tech.

First one that I remember was some sorta Jr. Varsity program that Tech had and they would play "someone" either Friday after Thanksgving or sometime that week. My Dad took me, and I remember the stadium was easily less than 20% full. Time frame was sometime in the early 80's.

Next "official" one (Varsity) was 1990 against S. Carolina.

1978 versus Notre Dame. This was the infamous game where Notre Dame was winning big and Tech students from the east stands started throwing fish and other debris from the east stands. My family was sitting in the upper West stands so we really couldn’t tell what was happening except that there was a delay late in the game and were losing so we left before it was resolved.
i was in the student section for that game. My boots smelled bad for weeks after having dead fish in them.
Devine had to coach from the endzone.
I still hate ND.

1991 as a student. I didn't remember the opponent, but schedule lookup tells me it must have been UVA, which was a win.

1965 or 1966 ,no idea of opponent
i think the QB was "The Young Left-Hander."[ Kim King
my dad went to southern tech so he and i been fans as long as i can remember
he had a first cousin who was the yellowjacket team MVP in 1941 as a 175 lb guard.

11/17/1962: 5-2-1 Georgia Tech 7, #1 Alabama 6
I was a rat in 1962 and remember that game vividly. It was the most intense football I have ever been to, and probably the most electric crowd I have ever been a part of. The cheering started long before the teams ever took the field and continued long after the game was over.

100%. We were favored to beat FSU on September 15th for the first time in forever but the game got pushed to December and by then it was evident we were not nearly as good as we thought we were.

1960 vs UGag between the damn weeds..... Tarkenton's SR year at Ugag... Pat Dye blocked Tommy Wells' PAT & we lost 6-7.

THWg!

2001. The Goose was my introduction to Tech football. I attended during the Gailey years and was at Tech for grad school during the early Johnson years. I feel horrible for the students who had to attend during the Collins era

The Robert Lavette KO return game against ugay; night game/foggy - was that '87? awesome experience.

I think that Auburn tail game was 1979. My first year at GT.
Yea, probably it. Maybe they had Brooks, Agee, and Andrews at RB. Was Bo there?

I know I went to games before that. Just hard to remember. ELI games.

1967 - Jackets defeat Duke. I was 10 years old. Season ticket holder for many years in football and basketball. Still pulling for the Jackets from Florida now. Hoping the bowl game will be down here.
