You aren't making much sense. To be great we need to in a conference that fosters greatness. ACC is nice; but when the P5 becomes the P2 you want to be in one of the two.
 
The ultimate problem with a BOB hire is that it is yet another incestual good ole boys club hire after we just crushed and burned hard on a hire made for the same reasons. It's showing the regardless of whatever the president or new AD have said, we have learned nothing from the Collins hiring and are repeating a similar process hoping it works out better this time.

I'm not a fan of hiring BOB; but it would be nothing like the Collins hire. There would be no similarity at all, unless we give another retarded contract that leaves us in a bind in year 4.

I agree BOB can coach circles around G**** C****** … not even a contest. With that said BOB is about 4th on my list and hopefully Batt’s too.
 
If nothing else Batt has the process on lock down. I don’t believe any of the rumors. I’m not hearing diddly from anyone worth a damn, reliable sources are radio silent and all speculation. I’ll give him credit for that.

My best man that results in a new coaching search in 2025: Bob

We would have to see on the contract.
The similarity is in the reasons for the choice. In both cases, would we of ever considered them for the position if they did not have some past tie to Tech or voices around but not a part of the program advocating for them (O'Leary in Collins case, seemingly more varied among donors now)?

Was anyone else even slightly considering them to be their head coach besides us at the time? Collins wasn't really and the only other position that has been discussed for BOB this year besides his current one and ours is being fired and unemployed.

The similarity would be choices made for the same irrational reasons that have nothing to do with the ability of the coach. It doesn't matter that BOB is probably a better coach than Collins because that isn't really why he would be getting the job.
 
Amazing Alabama fans want blame BOB for their loses. Two (2) at my church said he is their problem, offense is to complicated. My comment was he certainly scored enough points to beat Tennessee and LSU, but no it was his fault. If memory serves, he gave them the lead with 48 seconds left against Tennessee and their defense let them score. He gave them the lead in overtime against LSU and in 2 plays the defense gave up a touchdown and 2 point conversion. Also, Saban called no time out on the 2 point conversion when the defense was confused. Yet it is BOB‘s fault. I wii support Bill if he is the choice. Chadwell is a shot in dark, like Collins was. Brent should be given consideration, based on the fact that he has changed the clown show!
