Candidates For New Head Coach

Let’s hire Kendall Briles and let him bring his Dad in as OC. But of course I really hope Collins works out.

GC came in and said he was all about defense. If he isn’t good at at least one of them, we shouldn’t have hired him in the first place. I read this post as you’re ok hiring a cheerleader/recruiter as head coach.

Can’t have it both ways. If our recruiting is that much better, we should beat NIU.
 
We’re going to lose our shot at Jamey Chadwell after this season, even though out of all coaches, he’s the best suited for this job with our skill level.

NIU's coach did a better job. You can still lose with great players when your coaches suck.

That’s my point. Our recruiting is better but our coach(es) suck. Or our coach(es) are good but our players suck.

Seems like you fall on the side that our coach(es) suck. I can respect that. But the head coach has got to be responsible for at least one side of the ball.
 
Here's my idea.
Give Elon Musk the run of Tech. Let him be a visiting professor and we'll name a building after him but we tell him, look, Elon, baby, love ya, but if we're gonna give you this much free rein, we need, um, a contribution, shall we say, to our athletic fund.
Then pay the next coaches in bitcoin.
But at least their comp cars will be Teslas.

Explain what he did and how he out-coached CGC?

Was CGC supposed to scream our Team into playing better?

3 or 4 OLs that are 5 & 6 years removed from HS should be able to execute plays called by our OC, our grown azz mature OLs needed a coach to remind them that P5 CFB is supposed to be physical?

Blame coaches when they call the wrong play, blame Players when they screw up Plays that they should've executed with ease.

The entire "coach em up" mindset among our Fans is beyond ridiculous

And even if we did, the chances that the new head coach would turn this a program around in 2-3 years and have as much success as even Chan Gaily is far less than 50% right now.

Tennessee has been through 7 head coaches in the past 10 years. Nada to show for it.

Florida went through 2 coaches to get to Meyer, and they are on their 5th now with nothing to show for it.

Where do you think it is easier to win, Florida State or Georgia Tech? Who is more likely to be a top 10 contender in the next 10 years, Florida State or Georgia Tech?

Take a deep breath. It’s gonna be a while.
