Had some chances early; 2 drops in the opening drive set the tone and allowing them to go 4/4 on fourth down early on. If we convert the deep balls to singleton it’s a tight game at half. Once we got behind we were forced to throw, which led to sacks + picks

Thought we should have run it more, it was effective, but we kept going to the WR screen.
 
Big trenches are something we aren't ready for. Thats on both sides of the ball as well. The 3O offset that, big boy football stares ya right in the face and says bring it. Its an issue for sure.

Whoever said this is just a blowhard. Pyron redshirted last year, he is not eligible for a redshirt this year. I love our fans.
 
With the fake punt and multiple 4th down attempts Dabo was sending a message to his team that they were the superior team and to Tech that he didn't think they could meet the challenge. Clemson came out on the back foot but got it turned around pretty quickly.
 
The defense is the big problem for us I think. That's the most Clemson has scored on anyone in our league all season. We had chances on offense but didn't convert. We need to RECRUIT and upgrade our coaching in the offseason.

I think our secondary is solid, and DL is OK if they aren’t in the field the whole game. Really need to upgrade at LB. We just really have nothing there, trying to play safeties on the box half the time which doesn’t work when a team is coming downhill with big RBs.

No idea why we can’t contain qb scrambles on 3rd and 15

I think our safeties are solid - or at least should be. Corners are ... well, I don't think they're that good. DL has been better than I thought but our linebackers are just not very good.

King is like my golf game. I'll be pretty good one day and suck the next.

King has shown he can be great but he has also shown he can have games where he is missing receivers by 10 yards. If he is having a bad game, sit him for a series or two, let him regroup and coach him up in real time.
 
We had 3 (maybe 4) straight drives where we lost yards on 1st down in the 3rd quarter. No adapting to the game by the offensive coaches coming out of halftime. And why aren’t they using Rutherford the last 2 games? UNC couldn’t handle his shiftiness and speed and we proceed to not use him for 8 straight quarters. Leary, Blaylock, And Janneh have given us nothing other than fair catches on punts by Blaylock. Janneh never blocks on those quick passes to the edge.

Yeah, we gotta flush this game and just understand we are no where near ready to compete with Clemson and the team we play last. Win next week and get some more practice reps in December. And this is exactly why JBatt didn‘t keep Clemson as a protected rival. We could be 6-4 right now on a 3 game winning streak if we had played just about anyone else in the ACC other than Clemson and FSU. The positive press would have been great just like the love we were getting on Game Day this morning. Now, we just got destroyed on national TV and are back to being irrelevant. Thankfully JBatt knows we gotta stop playing games we are clearly gonna lose. Starting off against FSU next year is gonna set us back again on national TV.

Agree that LB is a weakness. We have two committed but neither is that highly rated. Got to hope we evaluated talent well... And hopefully we can pull someone out of the portal

We aren't a good enough offense where we can drop back and throw the ball downfield when the opponent is expecting it.
